Afrobeats superstar, Wizkid, on Saturday, July 29, 2023, performed at a sold-out 60,000 capacity Tottenham Hotspur stadium concert. The singer's concert in London is a historical one for African music as he became the first and only African artist to headline and perform at the venue. Ghanaian Drill rapper Yaw Tog has expressed interest in exploring cannabis cultivation following the recent passing of the Narcotics Control Commission Amendment Bill 2023, which has opened up new opportunities in Ghana's cannabis industry. With the responsibility for issuing licenses for cannabis cultivation now shifted to the Ministry of Interior, Yaw Tog sees potential in the business. In an interview with BRYT TV, the 'Sore Hitmaker' mentioned that if he has the financial means and believes it to be a viable opportunity, he would consider obtaining a license and investing in the industry.  The Cruise People Limited, the company in the ongoing contractual dispute with Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has officially filed a lawsuit against him for alleged breach of contract. The suit, which was filed at the High Court, claims that the artist failed to honour the agreement between the two parties, resulting in the cancellation of the Afro Cruise Jam concert for which he had been scheduled to perform in August. According to the plaintiff, after booking Black Sherif for the cruise event and paying half of his booking fee ($20,000), they expected him to create a video confirming his participation in the Greece-based event. However, the artist reportedly did not provide the video as agreed, leading to the cancellation of the booking and a loss of $18,000 for securing cabins on the cruise ship.
